Mademoiselle Agathe soaps are cold processed, this way they are naturally rich in glycerin which is produced during the saponification. The glycerin provides softening and moisturising properties to the soap. A handcrafted soap processed in a cold way will naturally contain oil and butter which will confer it unique properties. We chose this method because it preserves the quality of the oils used and produces a really gentle soap for the skin and the environment.

Snail slime harvesting

WE DON'T TAKE, WE WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE WILLING TO GIVE

Our harvesting process is based on the know-how of the first certified organic snail farm in France. After more than 4 years of research, we have developed a harvest without suffering for the snail which guarantees an exceptional quality of mucus. By taking one snail at the time, with the dexterity that only a human hand can offer, we collect a very heavy mucus very rich in protein.

MAXIMUM SLIME FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY

In our laboratory, in the Loire region, we formulate our products to aim at a maximum amount of snail slime extract they contain. We claim between 50 and 93% snail slime extract while the rest of the ingredients is from organic farming. At the end, we propose to our customers products with more than 98% active ingredients.
